TORO AND BETOLAZA S.A. has received aid for its energy saving and efficiency project “Energy optimization in the metallurgical coke drying process” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by IDAE and managed by the Autonomous Communities, charged to the National Fund of Energy Efficiency, with the aim of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy. An energy saving and efficiency project has been developed consisting of energy optimization of the metallurgical coke drying process by replacing the main body of the direct heat exchanger trommel and replacing the natural gas burner. Thanks to the project, the savings potential is 51.59 teps per year.
